Plasma TV Buffer Boards – Complete Buying Guide
Plasma televisions use several specialized circuit boards to generate and control picture output. Among the most important are the Buffer Boards, also known as Y Buffer Boards, Scan Buffer Boards, Upper Buffer Boards, and Lower Buffer Boards. These boards work together with the Y-Sustain and Z-Sustain circuits to drive the plasma display panel and produce accurate image reproduction. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
At Great Bharat Electronics, we stock original plasma TV buffer boards for Samsung, LG, and Panasonic plasma television models. Every board is thoroughly tested before dispatch and supplied ready for installation.
What Does a Plasma TV Buffer Board Do?
The buffer board receives video signals from the sustain circuitry and distributes them to thousands of display cells within the plasma panel. These signals control the illumination of individual pixels, enabling the television to display clear images, colors, and motion.
A malfunctioning buffer board can interrupt these signals, resulting in visible display defects and picture failures. In many plasma televisions, separate upper and lower buffer boards are used to control different portions of the display. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
